On behalf of our large Greensboro church family, welcome! We recognize it can be daunting to find a new church community. No matter what your faith background, we welcome you. We hope the information on this page will help you feel at home when you visit.
come as you are
You will see everything from shorts and flip-flops to suits and ties. The most important thing to us is your presence, not your presentation.
Our Sanctuary is currently under renovations. In the meantime, we are worshiping in our Fellowship Hall. The main entrance from our parking lot will lead you directly to the double doors of our Fellowship Hall.
Worship at 11am is led by a pastor, our Schantz organ (when in our Sanctuary), and a rich array of musical offerings by Westminster's Chancel Choir, Handbell Choir, and a variety of guest instrumentalists. This services lasts approximately one hour, and we provide a bulletin to help guide you through the service.
Our 9:30am worship service blends contemporary music (piano, acoustic guitars, bass, percussion and vocalists) with a message. Music is drawn from a variety of sources including traditional hymns, contemporary christian, rock, folk and bluegrass. A pastor and our Worship Band lead each service.
Our contemporary service lasts about one hour, and we provide a bulletin to help guide you through the service.
We meet in the Fellowship Hall (on the lower level) in between services for refreshments. This is a casual opportunity to meet new people, socialize, and ask questions about Westminster.
We offer professional child care every Sunday (newborns—two years old) in order to provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. You can find the nursery on the lower level in Room 113. For children three—5th grade, Church School is offered in conjunction with worship during the school year.
Children are always welcome during worship or may also attend Church School after the Welcoming the Children (a brief time during worship for children to hear a lesson just for them from the pastor). Click below to learn more about all the ways your child can grow in faith at Westminster.
Our youth meet every Sunday morning in Room 100 at 11am and lead worship once a month. Click below learn more about our large Greensboro youth group.
We have several Church School opportunities on Sunday mornings in conjunction with worship. Click below to learn about our Sunday morning classes and other small group opportunities.
