Children and Worship
Westminster is a great place for young families with children.
Children are always welcome during worship or may also attend Church School after the Welcoming the Children.
Worship bags and other activities to do while listening to the sermon are found on the book cart outside the Sanctuary.
Throughout the year, we look for ways for children to lead in worship whether through music, liturgy, drama, art, or any other gifts .
We provide nursery care for children ages 2 and under. On the Friendly Avenue Campus, the nursery is located on the ground floor in Room 113. On our Lake Brandt Campus, the nursery is located in the classroom wing to the left of the Sanctuary as you walk into the building. Our nursery volunteers will provide developmentally encouraging Bible stories and activities for your child.
For children three—5th grade, Church School is offered in conjunction with worship during the year.

After the Welcoming the Children in worship, your child will be escorted to his/her Church School class for age-appropriate activities. Children will participate in Godly Play. With Godly Play®, we tell Bible stories to children and encourage them to enter into the stories.
JAMS (Junior Arts and Music on Sunday)
Children who are ages Kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to participate in JAMS, a program offered on Sunday mornings during the school year in Room 106 at 11am that engages kids in singing, drama, movement, percussion and more!
Sunday Night Life
Sunday Night Life is an opportunity for the entire Westminster Presbyterian household to enjoy a variety of classes and activities followed by a meal before the week begins. SNL will resume in September.
