September Update from the Transition Team

Although it has been some time since the Transition Team’s primary responsibilities came to a close, we want to take a moment to share an update on the transition process. As is customary, the role of transitional pastor is structured as a 12‑month contract position. Steve’s initial contract has now concluded, and the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) continues its thoughtful work in discerning a call for our permanent Head Pastor, just as expected.

We are pleased to share that Steve has graciously agreed to continue serving under a renewed 12‑month contract. While we do not anticipate the PNC’s process extending the full year, this extension provides a helpful cushion and the assurance of steady, faithful leadership for as long as it is needed. Please keep our PNC in your prayers as they work to discern the next leader of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
