December 5
The boundary lines have fallen for me in a pleasant place; I have a goodly heritage.
Psalm 16:6 (NRSV)
Come let us be about our preparations for a new advent of love among us.
The wastelands of life around us cannot shut out the promise of life-giving water.
Hatred and warfare are not the last word for they are not from God.
We hear again the promise of peace, coming in the one shalom among all people.
We see the light that God promises in the middle of our darkness.
May our worship recall us to what is centered in life.
We come to embrace the new Advent, to be renewed in Faith, Hope, and Love.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank you for showing us how to be your presence to others. Bless those we serve in Your name. Amen.
