Endowment: Invest in People's Future

A substantial part of our vision for Westminster's future is to become a "destination church," a vibrant congregation known throughout the region for the strength and the breadth of our ministry. Included is a vigorous commitment to worship that equips people to live faithfully, mission endeavors that reflect the presence of God here on earth, spiritual practices that deepen our personal faith, and mentoring Christian leaders of the future. It's an expansive and exciting vision.

Beginning in 2007 and continuing, we have made some important steps to live into this vision. Specifically, our Endowment Committee has initiated two funds -- an "Excellence in Music Fund" and a "Finish Strong Youth Fund" -- aimed specifically at accomplishing this vision.

Our "Excellence in Music Fund" will give our music staff the capacity to be even more creative, progressive and innovative in our worship life. Our "Finish Strong Youth Fund" will provide a culminating mission experience to Africa or the Holy Land for high school students who commit themselves to a specific program of learning and growing in their faith.
