Worship> Arts In Worship> Music MusicMusic is a vital and meaningful part of Westminster’s worship life. Our music program embraces a variety of musical styles and offers opportunities for participation at all ages and levels of experience. Traditional MusicAt the Friendly Avenue campus we have organs in both the Sanctuary and Chapel. Traditional services are held in the larger venue, the Sanctuary, at 11 a.m. each Sunday. There are two concert performances: one at Christmas and the other at Easter. In addition to a 50+ Chancel Choir, we periodically offer special musical contributions during worship from a variety of different musicians - trumpeter, vocalists, classical guitarist, harpist, cello, etc. Members of the choir traveled to Scotland in June 2008 for its first European tour. Read about it in the May issue of WestminsterLife . If interested in joining the choir or participating in special concerts, contact organist and choirmaster James R. Jones at 299-3785 or by e-mailing Contemporary MusicWestminster’s Worship Bands provide musical leadership for services at both the Friendly Avenue and Lake Brandt campuses.
