Small Groups

Lives are formed and transformed in small groups when people meet together to pray, to study, to engage in fellowship, or to work on a specific task.

Westminster has several small groups that you can join and others that are forming. There are several groups that meet Sunday evenings at the Friendly Avenue campus where childcare is provided. Other groups meet in each others' homes.

Current Groups

An alphabetical listing of small Groups at Westminster include the following groups:

Adventures in Prayer - Study scripture, meditation and prayer. Meet Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in the Friendly Avenue Campus Chapel. Contact Sarah Benson at 292-2559 or Mary Ann Shaver at 288-0828.

Kernersville Small Group - Rotate meeting in members homes in the Kernersville/Forsyth County area on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings of each month. Contact Elizabeth White for meeting time and location. 299-3785, ext. 17

Men's Bible Study - 2nd and 4th Thursday evenings. Contact Steve Fricke 561-1730 or Tom Loughlin 454-981.

Mother's of Teens - Various Sunday evenings. Contact Melanie Woodard at 852-6789

Parents of Small Children - Several of these groups meet 2nd and 4th Sundays at 5:30-7 p.m., Friendly Avenue Campus. Childcare provided. Contact Larry Hooker at 299-3785 ext. 15.

Parents of Teens - Meets monthly at Lake Brandt campus at 10:45, following worship service.

Pilgrimage Reunion Groups - Several groups meet throughout the week at various times at the Friendly Avenue campus or around Greensboro. Many Westminster members have attended and served on Pilgrimage Weekends. See www.ncpilgrimage.org for current listing of reunion groups in the area.

Prayer Shawl Knitters - Meet to knit prayer shawls to be given to people experience difficulties, illness, or loss. Meets on Wednesdays. Contact Jane Sharp286-0679 or Donna Weeks 854-1498.

Women's Beth Moore Bible Study - Meet September - May on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 and another group meets Thursday mornings 9:30-11 a.m., both meetings are at the Friendly Avenue campus. Read more...
