Events occur seasonally so check back to see all the fun ways to mix and mingle with people outside of the worship venues.

All-Church Sunday Winter Fun

February 12, 2-4 pm

It's time for us to relax together -- join your church friends of all ages for an afternoon of fun an dfellowship. Bring a friend if you would like. choose from a varity of fun activities including: crafts, playing board games; learning how to shag dance; putting together bas with snacks to hand out to those in need in our community (please bring an item for the bags such as bottled water, granola bars, tooth brushes, fruit cups, mints). Homemade cookies and cocoa will be served. Let us know how many will be coming by signing up.

 

Other Fellowship Activities:

Men's Breakfast - The men's chefs prepare a wonderful meal followed by a program on the first saturday of each month.  Signup on the Worship Response Card or via the church web site.

February  4. our featured speaker will be the Rev. Buck Cochran of Peacehaven Farm.

J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) Group -  Join us at the Friendly Avenue Campus Fellowship Hall for a monthly lunch and a program the fourth Tuesday of the month.  Reservations requested by calling Suzanne Andia in the church office at 299-3785, ext. 130.    All seniors 65+ are welcome to join us.

Fitness Classes Westminster nurtures good health - spiritual and physical - through a ministry of wellness and fitness.  All classes are open to new members. For information contact Suzanne Andia at 299-3785 x130 or Suzanne.Andia@westpreschurch.org

  • YOGA- Tuesday 9:00am-10:15am and 5:45pm-7:00pm in Room 100, structured for all levels, this class focuses on stretching, balance, and flexibility.
  • FITNESS SAMPLER- Monday and Thursday 5:30pm-6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall of the Friendly Avenue Campus.  Instruction includes Mat Pilates, 20/20/20 (cardio/weights and abdominals) and Yoga.   Every week includes some movement, strength, and core training.
  • GENTLE FITNESS – Tuesday and Friday 11:00am-11:45am in the Fellowship Hall of the Friendly Avenue Campus.  This class takes a gentler and slower approach toward the whole body workout.  By incorporating weights, tubes, stability balls, small balls, dowels, and chair/wall pilates, this workout will help maintain and even improve flexibility and balance and overall health and well-being.

Westminster Rivers and Trails. This group meets whenever the weather is good for a hike or a paddling along the local lakes or rivers. Click for specific trip dates. For more information on paddling contact Lynda Purcell at 951-2751 or lpurcell@nuvox.net.

Singles Ministry - The Singles Ministry is a welcoming, nurturing community that encourages fellowship, Christ-centered growth, and service. See list of events.

Young Adults

  • Presbyterian Youth Adults -Grad students, young adults, recent college graduates from around Greensboro gather monthly for fellowship and conversation. Contact  Rev. Peter Hazelrigg, campus minster at UNCG, at (336) 334-5130.
