May Update from the PNC

The PNC has been working hard since our inception and are beginning to work even harder now that both the Session and the Committee on Ministry at Salem Presbytery have approved our Ministry Discernment Profile. We are carefully looking at possible candidates for our next Head of Staff/Senior Pastor. Our next step is to narrow down the list of possible candidates to determine whom to invite to interview so we can eventually arrive at a short list of final candidates. We are also developing and refining our interview questions so we are ready when we begin talking with candidates.

We have heard stories of calls where the initial contact did not come via the routine process, but rather because someone not actively seeking a call was introduced to a church through a personal relationship.  We welcome you to share the excitement we have in finding our next Head of Staff, and we encourage you either to share the name of someone you think might have interest or to have that person contact us.

We are excited that we have “gelled” so well as a group and are all thankful to you for your prayers. Please continue to hold our committee in prayer, especially when we meet on Wednesdays at 5:30 each week. Thank you again for your support.
