Beginning May 31 and continuing through August 30, the Sunday worship schedule will be adjusted for the summer months. The worship committee recommended and, at its March 8th meeting, Session approved the following summer schedule: 9:30 Contemporary worship, sanctuary, Friendly Avenue 11:00 Contemporary worship, Lake Brandt 11:00 Traditional worship, sanctuary, Friendly Avenue. The changes represented in this schedule are a move of the service at Lake Brandt from 9:30 to 11:00 and a suspension of the chapel service. This allows for a contemporary service to be offered at both hours, one at one campus and one at the other. It is hoped that these changes will prompt worshipers to consider attending services other than ones they typically attend. Doing so will create opportunities for new connections and perhaps renewed acquaintances, all with the goal of strengthening the relational ties between us. If you’ve not heard the chancel choir lately or enjoyed the music of Jonathan Emmons on the organ, consider the 11:00 service in the sanctuary. Children are welcome and dress is the same as in our other services. As well, if you have not experienced a contemporary service or a service at Lake Brandt, there’s no better time than during the summer to give these a try. Moving from one service to another will also provide an opportunity to appreciate the fullness of Westminster’s corporate worship life. These changes to the worship schedule have been approved for the summer only. We will return to our regular worship schedule on September 6.

We are blessed to be a blessing. We respond by striving to share and receive God’s love through serving others. Our service takes many forms, starting at home and currently extending to places as far away as Kenya. There’s a way for everyone to participate in our outreach programs. What moves you?
In addition to your prayers, there are other ways you can support our outreach efforts. We raise money for outreach throughout the year—from the mission auction every spring to the ongoing Amani Bead ministry.
