Applications are now available for Westminster’s annual medical mission trip to Haiti. For several years, Westminster has partnered with Family Health Ministries to provide medical service to people living in the communities around one of their several health clinics. In March, we will once again provide a four-day health clinic at the Carmelle Voltaire Women’s Center in the community of Tom Gato.
Gifts include Amani bead jewelry, handmade crafts, Honor Cards, and special items brought back from international mission trips. Gifts will be available for purchase in the Fellowship Hall on December 9 and 16 and in the Church Office during office hours through December 21.
Rev. Frank Dew will host a pilgrimage September 9—20, 2019 to explore the Celtic and Reformed roots of Christianity in Ireland and Scotland. Highlights include the Stone Age passage tomb at Newgrange and the Hill of Tara, the Glendalough monastic site, the Celtic high crosses at Monasterboice, the Book of Kells in Dublin, and cathedrals in Edinburgh.
Westminster is hosting our 7th annual collection of new, adult-sized long underwear and socks (dark colors are preferred) for Greensboro Urban Ministry’s Weaver House Homeless Shelter guests.
Westminster will ring the Salvation Army bell at the Friendly Center Harris Teeter beginning Saturday, December 1 through Saturday, December 22.
Westminster’s Refugee Ministry team has been helping to resettle a Congolese family since last February. The mother, Emeline, is now working a 2nd shift job and cannot attend English language school. We are looking for a volunteer to teach her at home for an hour, ideally twice a week.
he Barnabas Network has a critical need for gently used drinking glasses, blankets and sheets (all sizes) and pots and pans. Bath towels, furniture and basic household items are always welcome, too.
Westminster will provide lunch on Saturday, December 1 for all volunteers building Habitat homes in Greensboro.

Westminster provides dinner for the families at Pathways Center, a Greensboro Urban Ministry temporary family shelter, the third Thursday of each month. We have openings in September, October, November, and December.
We will have a trunk or treat event on October 28 in conjunction with Sunday Night Life. We need volunteers!
Please join the long-standing Westminster tradition of building a Habitat for Humanity home for a hard-working Greensboro family.
Westminster serves breakfast at the Greensboro Urban Ministry Weaver House Shelter the first Sunday of each month. Servers and dining room volunteers are always needed, so please join us! Children elementary school age and older are welcome. No sign up is necessary. Our next breakfast is Sunday, September 2 at 6:45am.
