Westminster has an urgent need for additional Senior Wheels Medical Transportation Program drivers. This program provides rides for ambulatory seniors age 55+ to and from non-emergency medical appointments in Guilford County. On the second Thursday and fourth Monday of every month, a dedicated group of Westminster volunteers serves in this rewarding capacity.
The HR Committee is currently seeking a Finance Manager for 28-32 hours a week.
On Sunday May 5 Westminster children and youth will assemble Disaster Hygiene Kits for Church World Service. Your financial contribution in honor or in memory of someone during this season of Lent will be used to purchase the specific supplies needed

This annual 30-hour event is an opportunity for our youth to experience a small degree of homelessness, raise money to support hunger in Greensboro, and collect canned goods for Out of the Garden. Our youth invite you to swing by the Fellowship Hall for a donation bag. Bring it back on April 7 full and labeled with your favorite college team!
Westminster volunteers are needed January 19 and February 16 and the third Saturday morning of each month in 2019 to help distribute fresh and frozen foods through the Out of the Garden Fresh Mobile Market.
Our next Greensboro Urban Ministry Weaver House Shelter breakfast is Sunday April 7. Servers and dining room volunteers are always needed at 6:45 am and no sign up is needed for this opportunity. Children elementary school age and older are welcome.
We are also in need of additional cooking volunteers to arrive at 6am.

Photo Sharing If you’ve taken photos at a Westminster event, please share with us! You will be able to submit your best photos directly from your phone or computer quickly and easily. These images will be collected on the staff shared drive for staff, committees, future publicity, and/or social media.
Westminster will provide lunch on Saturday, March 30, for all volunteers building Habitat homes in Greensboro. Westminster volunteers are needed to prepare lunch beginning at 8:30am in the Westminster kitchen for delivery to the job site by 11am.
Consider becoming an usher or greeter on Sunday mornings! This volunteer role plays a big part in making sure Westminster is a warm, friendly place for members and visitors alike. Consider signing up.

Salem Presbytery has participated in this Presbyterian Church (USA) program since 1989 and has collected and distributed more than three million dollars to feed the hungry. Bring your pennies on March 10 for our quarterly collection.
Westminster is collecting size 1, 2 and 3 disposable diapers and baby wipes for the family. Please place your donations in the collection bins outside Fellowship Hall.

Are you looking for a new way to be “all in” at Westminster in the new year? Do you have a knack for creativity and decorating? Consider joining the Worship Committee. They meet around ten times a year and are responsible for helping with worship services, communion, and decorating for special events throughout the year. Westminster will continue its partnership with West Market Church and work alongside several other congregations to staff the shelter with volunteers and provide evening meals.
