Westminster will provide lunch on Saturday, July 20 for all volunteers building Habitat homes in Greensboro.  Westminster volunteers are needed to prepare lunch beginning at approximately 8:30am in the Westminster kitchen for delivery to the job site by 11am.  This is a great opportunity for all ages!  To sign up or for more information, please contact Irene Linford, Westminster’s Habitat Lunch coordinator, at 336-662-9814 or Ann Comfort in the Church Office (ann.comfort@westpreschurch.org).

They are beginning a new book, Holy Envy: Finding God in the Faith of Others by Barbara Brown Taylor on June 11.  This bestselling author recounts her moving discoveries of finding the sacred in unexpected places. Have you ever wanted to learn how to knit or crochet? Not sure how to start or what to make? Westminster has a group of dedicated women who gather on Wednesdays from 6:30pm—7:30pm in the Westminster Redington House to socialize, knit, and crochet prayer shawls and other meaningful projects throughout the year. All are welcome, including beginners! Just bring size thirteen needles and join the fun! Questions? Contact Office Administrative Assistant, Emily Black.

Volunteers Needed for Senior Wheels Medical Transportation Drivers

Westminster has an urgent need for additional Senior Wheels Medical Transportation Program drivers.  This program provides rides for ambulatory seniors age 55+ to and from non-emergency medical appointments in Guilford County.  On the second Thursday and fourth Monday of every month, a dedicated group of Westminster volunteers serves in this rewarding capacity.

30 Hour Famine Food Collection

This annual 30-hour event is an opportunity for our youth to experience a small degree of homelessness, raise money to support hunger in Greensboro, and collect canned goods for Out of the Garden. Our youth invite you to swing by the Fellowship Hall for a donation bag. Bring it back on April 7 full and labeled with your favorite college team!
