One Great Day of Service

one great day.png

The mission of One Great Day of Service (OGD) is to provide opportunities to go beyond our walls and be God’s light in our community through service. We hope to foster long-term relationships by introducing our congregation to local agencies and to bring our community of faith together through fellowship.

One Great Day of Service is more than just an annual volunteer event. It is an opportunity to touch lives by coming together to share individual gifts and talents, from sewing to pet therapy. This year, there are twenty six projects to choose from. All are welcome to participate, including visitors to our church.

10:30am or 12pm
Meet Project Leader and Team in the Friendly Avenue Fellowship Hall, pick up free sack lunch, directions, and depart for project.*

*Childcare will be provided beginning at 12pm. All children must be picked up from the church by 3pm.

Please note we will not be gathering after the service projects this year. Please enjoy a relaxing evening and consider attending a community fellowship event in the near future.

  • Project Leaders will contact you with details the week of September 24.
  • Registration is required for childcare (birth–preK) by Sunday, September 23.
  • Children grades K – 12 will participate in projects with their families or a responsible adult.  Please note the appropriate age range listed for each project.
  • Westminster T-shirts will be available for purchase in the Church Office and on both campuses for the month of September. We ask that you wear a Westminster T-shirt to worship on One Great Day of Service.
