The team’s home base in Nicaragua will be “Finca (Farm) el Peten,” an organic coffee farm with a dormitory and dining facilities for volunteers. Located near Jenotega in north central Nicaragua, it is about a three-hour bus ride from the airport in Managua. The Farm is only a few minutes from the village of Los Robles, where volunteers serve alongside local residents while doing community development work and teaching VBS.

Type of Work: Teams work in Los Robles, pouring concrete flours, building ovens and helping with other health-driven community improvement projects. In the afternoon, the team offers VBS to women and children, and makes prayer visits to families who request them. Learn more at www.hoi.org
Cost: Total cost for the trip is approximately $2,100. With support from Westminster and a private donor, the cost is $840 per adult, $630 per teen. This covers meals, lodging, transportation, building supplies and one night of R&R. Fundraising by working on Westminster’s Missions Celebration is required.
