Prison Ministry

In the gospel of Matthew Jesus tells us to minister to others in need in His name when he says, “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me”. One way that Westminster attempts to be faithful to what Jesus asks us to do is to minister to those who are incarcerated. Throughout the year members of Westminster share in quarterly worship services and fellowship with residents at the Guilford Correctional Center in McLeansville, as well as leading the Easter Sunrise Service at the Center. Single cell visitations, organizing bible groups, and providing transportation for work release are other ways that members of Westminster share the good news of the gospel with the imprisoned individuals.

Mission directors: Wilson Davis (644-1524) and John Wright (282-9389)
