Hundreds of volunteers keep Westminster moving forward, and there are many ways you can put your God-given talents and gifts to work right here. Provides oversight for the maintenance of church budget, stewardship, office equipment, technology, insurance, property acquisition, and endowment.
Responsible for all adult education programs, including W.E.L.L. (Westminster Eat, Learn, Live), adult church school classes, long-term Bible studies, small group and discipleship-building programs and other special offerings. The committee coordinates various small group activities for adults within the church. The committee also plans and manages the Westminster Adult Library resources.
Oversees the maintenance of the church’s buildings and grounds. Responsible for the sanctuary, chapel, offices, classrooms, fellowship hall, kitchens, the four single-family homes owned by the church and the columbarium as well as the lawn and grounds of the church and houses.
Works with children and families in the areas of spiritual nurture, faith formation and fellowship through programs throughout the year. Facilitates all programming for children as well as provides nursery care during worship services, church school, church meetings and special events.
Leads our congregation to demonstrate Christian caring and compassion to all persons related to the life of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Subcommittees include: culinary care (meals to those in need); bereavement; note writing ministry, men’s & women’s visitation teams, home communion, health team, and more.
Works with the congregation to help each and every person discover their unique and God-given gifts. Helps them discern how to use these gifts for service in our church, the community and in the world.
Plans and executes various social, travel and sports-related events throughout the year for all age groups where church members and friends can come together in a Christ-centered community to build new friendships, nurture existing relationships and foster connectedness and belonging within our church family.
Oversees all aspects of the worship life of the church including weekly Sunday worship services and additional services for Advent, Christmas Eve, Lent, Easter and other occasions. The Committee is responsible for supporting preaching, communion, music, weddings, baptisms, funerals, greeters, ushers, audio-visuals and other related activities.
