Serve> Outreach> National Outreach> Appalachia Service Project Mission Trip to AppalachiaWestminster puts its talents and faith to work by helping to address the housing needs of low-income families in Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Although the repairs and improvements that are made to homes make them drier, warmer, and safer places for their residents, the most significant transformation often takes place in the hearts of the volunteers and homeowners. Put another way, this ministry builds faith, strengthens relationships, and fosters a spirit of service in addition to building better housing for Appalachian families. Intergenerational and Adult (age 14 + ) teams are sponsored by the church. Dates: April 24-27, 2008 Where: Jonesville, VA Age/ability: Participants must be 14 years old (parent or guardian should accompany minors). Cost: $90 Fund raising, by working on the Building Missions Auction 2008 is requested. Dates: Trips are in April and October 2008.
