2008 Mission Trips

Spring Break Katrina Relief, March 24-29, 2008
Where: Long Beach, Mississippi
Type of work: Hurricane repair on homes and buildings affected by Hurricane Katrina.
Age: Youth age 14+ and adult leaders.
Cost: $50 (relief funds offset cost of this trip). Fund raising, by working on the Building Missions Auction 2008.
Accommodations: Air mattresses in bunkrooms at Long Beach Presbyterian Church.
Atlanta Mission Trip, June 22-27, 2008
Where: Atlanta, Georgia
Type of work: A variety of ministry partners will provide a broad range of urban outreach opportunities including home repair work for low-income senior citizens, food bank organization and client hospitality at a homeless center.
Age: Rising 7th and 8th grade students.
Cost: $225. Fund raising, by working on the Building Missions Auction 2008.
Accommodations: Air mattresses on the floor at Central Presbyterian Church (new site in the heart of downtown Atlanta!!)
Son Servants Katrina Relief, July 21-26, 2008
Where: New Orleans, Louisiana
Type of work: Hurricane repair on homes and buildings affected by Hurricane Katrina.
Age: Rising 9th and 10th grade students.
Cost: $450. Fund raising, by working on the Building Missions Auction 2008.
Accommodations: Air mattresses on the floor of Woodland Presbyterian Church.
Center for Student Missions Team, New York City, July 13-19, 2008
Where: New York City, New York
Type of work: Ministry sites will vary every day and the schedule will be customized for our group. Our "projects" will focus on working with people…looking into the eyes of a child at a daycare center, talking to a homeless person at a soup kitchen, working side by side with a recovering addict at a halfway house. CSM trips intentionally provide exposure to a variety of people groups. Each day finds you relating to new people and eating at new ethnic restaurants.
Age: Rising 11th and 12th grade students; 2008 high school graduates.
Cost: $500. Fund raising, by working on the Building Missions Auction 2008.
