Foust Elementary Classroom Engagement Opportunity
As Westminster moves into the second year of our Children in Poverty initiative, new opportunities are emerging as ways the church can make a difference. One new opportunity is at Foust Elementary, one of the highest poverty schools in North Carolina. A small group has been working throughout the school year to identify ways we might help the school with immediate needs while developing a long term plan of engagement. Our immediate need this spring is for classroom volunteers to read or practice math with students for 30 to 60 minutes once a week. Times windows are: 7:20-7:50 a.m., between 8:30-11:30 a.m., or between 12:30-2 p.m.
Please write Foust on your worship response card or contact Anne Embrey at firstname.lastname@example.org or Ann Comfort in the church office if you are interested in being part of the Foust team.
Please also see the April Westminster newsletter for more details and other upcoming engagement opportunities.
