Westminster Eat. Learn. Live.

Westminster's Eat. Learn. Live. is our mid-week gathering for various learning opportunities, and the shared fellowship of a faith community. These educational opportunities are for 3, 5 to 10 weeks in the Fall and Winter. There are classes for youth and children at the same time, as well as, children's choirs.

 

Adult Classes in February

Register for February classes.

Three-Week Session - February 1, 8, and 15 are as follow:

Drug Education in the Home – By the time your child gets to middle school, they know more than you think they do. Drug education needs to start early and keep going. Led by Sharon DeEsche, a licensed professional counselor who works with substance abuse and drug counseling.


This I Believe – Let’s take a look at the personal philosophies of some remarkable men and women. Based on the NPR series of the same name, we will look at 2-3 brief essays each evening. We will also be encouraged to write our own “This I Believe” essay. Led by Butch Sherrill.


Godliness, Faithfulness & Focus – This Bible study will take a look at the “pastoral epistles” of 1st and 2nd Timothy and Titus. We will delve into these letters of faith written with words of instruction and encouragement for the early church. Led by Bill Waterstradt.

Classes continuing from January are:

Expressions of Faith: A Contemplative Path to Creativity – Join this “sequel” to the retreat by the same title on January 14/15. The focus will be on experiencing God’s presence and exploring our inner creative selves. Led by Jane Sharp.

Amani bead Crafts - Each week participants will be using beautiful beads from Africa to make a different craft item in preparation for the missions Auction in May. 100% of the sales goes to the Amani Children's Foundation. Led by Carolyn Sarachaga and Rhonda Horney.

The February offerings will be followed by a Five-Week Session February 29 – March 28. Highlights of offerings during these series includes a classes related to:

  • Parenting challenges today
  • Sport and Christianity
  • Living well at the end of life
  • Book study and Bible study

Middle School Students Activities

Register for adult, children and middle school classes on Wednesday evenings

6 pm - $3 meal in the Fellowship Hall

6:30-7:30 pm - Recreation and Small Groups and Bible Study: Unlikely Heroes of the Old Testament.

W.E.L.L begins for the church family on Wednesday, January 11.   Our children's programming will involve choirs and Bible study during the evening.  Each evening's schedule will be:

5:30-6 pm - Dinner with your family

6-6:45 pm - Children's Choirs

6:30 -7:30 pm -Childcare for Pre-K and younger

6:45-7:30 - K-5th grade Bible Study "Those Animals Have Character!"
