Middle School Education

On Sunday mornings we meet to learn and grow in our faith. Our classes are taught by adults who care about young people and are committed to using creative ways for our youth to mature in their faith.

There is a fellowship time at the Youth House, across from the Friendly Avenue campus, on Sunday mornings between 10:30 and 11:00 am. Come by to get something to eat, see friends, and relax at the house.

We offer a Middle School class at 9:30 a.m at the Lake Brandt campus and 2 additional classes at 11 a.m. at the Friendly Avenue campus on Sunday mornings. Our teachers serve on a rotating basis to provide a unique and exciting approach to their curriculum. They use current events and other contemporary sources to explore the fundamentals of our faith and scripture.

Beatitudes: "Blessed Are You"
church-wide study

Girl Talk – Living the Be “Attitudes” - Girl Talk is for middle school girls and is aimed at helping them build self-esteem, learn the importance of community, how to benefit from positive relationships, and how to apply the beatitudes and live them every day.

Blessed Are the Peacemakers - This is a time for middle school boys to learn about the bully, the bullied, and beyond. Middle school years can be tumultuous times for all youth. All middle school boys are invited to join us for insights, skill-building activities, and discussions that center on how Jesus captures the characteristics and qualities of those he calls “blessed” as he lays out a plan for how to live a life that is honoring to God.

Confirmation Class for 8th Graders

We invite all 8th graders -- members and non-members alike -- to start on a personal faith journey through Westminster's Confirmation Class. Confirmation is a good forum for young people to learn what is unique about being Presbyterian and how Christianity is similar to and different from other religions.
