Celebrate the Calm

Calm...a sense we all yearn for in our homes. In the midst of our hectic lives, there are ways to create and celebrate calm in our everyday being and Kirk & Casey Martin, a nationally known father and son team, can help!

"Celebrate Calm," Wednesday, March 21, 6:30-8:30pm - Kirk & Casey Martin will discuss "Eliminating Defiance, Disrespect and Power Struggles." ALL parents will want to be a part of this evening! Celebrate Calm's goal is to help parents guide their children to be all they can be.

“Celebrate More Calm," Thurs., March 22, 9:30-11:30am - Kirk & Casey Martin will discuss "10 Secrets to Motivated & Responsible Children." Kirk & Casey will pick up where they left off on Wednesday and continue with these new ideas.

Ethics of Technology

Friending, tweeting, following, being linked, googled, & searched….These are all terms with which our young people become aware long before they’ve mastered their SAT vocabulary. How do we as parents help our young people navigate this web of technology and connectedness within appropriate boundaries? Come hear Vance Ricks, a professor at Guilford College, give us a newsfeed on what we need to do as parents.
