Receive Care
Congregational Care supports several care ministries. If you would like to receive care, contact Emily Black at or by phone 299-3785 ext. 12 or Rev. Mark Brainerd at or by phone at 299-3785 ext 16.
Pastoral Care
Ministers are available for counseling in the area of marriage, baptism, grief, funerals, or any crisis or situation where you may need Christian guidance and prayer. Call the church office to speak to one of the ministers.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers are trained members equipped to offer support for those who are grieving, suffering a crisis, in need of long-term care, dying, hospitalized, divorcing, or experiencing loss or crisis at any age, in any situation. Read more about Stephen Ministry.
Men's & Women's Visitation
Members of the congregation provide regular visits to men or women who are homebound or have difficulty getting out or to church due to sickness, injury, loss of spouse or family member, or other life-altering experiences. This ministry of presence provides caring hearts and gift of conversation.
Communion to the Homebound
Westminster
Presbyterian celebrates Holy Communion on the first sunday of each month and quarterly volunteers deliver and administer Communion to our homebound members.
Helping Hands
This handy group of Westminster members provides routine household assistance and basic fix-up tasks for elderly and disabled church members with minor home-repair problems.
Transportation Ministry
For those who require transportation to and from the church services, this ministry will pick you up and take you home.
Bereavement Care Team Ministry
A meal may be requested for a home, at the church before or after the memorial service, or at a reception at the church following the memorial service. Other forms of care may include sending sympathy cards, providing hospitality, serving or cleaning up at meals provided by the church.
Culinary Care Team Ministry
Provides compassionate care through meal delivery to members or friends of our congregation in circumstances when an individual or an immediate family member has a short-term critical need, such as an out-of-town death, sickness or injury.
Mobile Meals
Senior Resources of Guilford, a non-profit organization that promotes independent living of older adults in Guilford County operates a Mobile Meals program. Learn how to receive Mobile Meals.
