Strategic Plan

Westminster established a permanent Strategic Planning Committee to look closely at Westminster's facilities and programs. After two years of study, discussion, input from the congregation and prayer, members of the committee presented their report to the congregation for consideration.

At its meeting in November 2008, the Session voted to endorse recommendations #2 – 5 which are:

2. Increase diversity in our congregation
3. Improve people’s lives throughout our community and our world
4. Strengthen our sense of belonging and unity
5. Infuse every aspect of life at Westminster with Christ-centered discipleship

As to recommendation #1, the Session asked the Strategic Planning Committee to continue its study concerning issues related to facilities to see if there are creative ways to expand the current Friendly Avenue campus as well as other alternatives.

In 2011, the following people were elected to serve on the Diversity Committee:  Jennie Betton, Melinda Billings, Ginger Craig, Ali Fourqurean, Wally Fox, Gerald Hutchinson, and Lydie Onangatsengue.
